Manicure @ home

Hi guys,

So I thought I would share with you how to give yourself a manicure at home without all the fancy products. I love my pamper nights and sometimes we just can't afford to keep going to the salon for them done properly so this way we can all have salon looking nails without the expense.

What you need:
  • Hand cream or a very nourishing body cream if you don't have hand cream
  • Cuticle stick
  • Cotton pads
  • Nail varnish remover
  • Nail clippers (if needed)
  • Cuticle nippers
  • Nail file
  • Bowl full with warm water (with a few drops of olive oil in)
  • Cuticle oil
  • Nail polish
  • Top coat
What to do:
  • Remove old nail polish with a good acetone free nail polish remover so you don't ruin your nails. I use the 'Cutex Acetone Free Nail Polish Remover' from boots.
  • Soak fingers for around 10 minutes in a warm bowl of water and a few drops of olive oil to moisturise your nails and it will also soften the cuticles.
  •  Push cuticles back with a cuticle stick and clip off cuticle skin with cuticle nippers. I use the wilkos cuticle sticks and boots cuticle scissors.
  •  File nail going in one direction only as if you go back and fourth it makes the nails split. And shape them into any shape whether that be square or rounded. I think the rounded style looks more feminine. I use the nail files from superdrug.
  • Use a thin layer of base coat on nails then put the color you want on i normally put two coats of color on for a good pigmented color. Then finish off with a top coat. Any nail polish etc that you like will do.
  •  Put cotton wool around cuticle stick and dip in nail varnish remover and gently wipe over any nail polish that went on your skin and clean any mistakes up.
  • Put cuticle oil over cuticles and do this every other night to keep them nourished and looking nice. I use the boots nail and cuticle oil. If you haven't got any you can use olive oil or just your lip balm will do.
  •  Apply your favorite hand lotion cream and massage into hands.
Tips:
  • When pushing the cuticles back pull a cotton pad in half and like candy floss swirl the stick in the cotton and it will be softer on your cuticles and won't hurt as much
  • When doing polish start in the middle and then at either side.
  • Make sure its good olive oil and not cooking oil.

First impressions: Face mask No 3

Hi Guys,

So at Asda the other day they had a 4 for £3 deal on for my favorite face masks so i just couldn't ignore, so i got 4 of them and thought i would try them out and let you guys know how i feel about them and if they make any difference etc.

So the third one i picked up is the Pawpaw peel of mask, which is a 'phenomenal pore blaster'. It has mango fruit, noni fruit juice, plant origin, papaya fruit extract, evening primrose flower extract, ginseng root extract, aloe vera, green tea, grape, blueberry and cranberry in it and you basically put it all over your face (except lips and eyes) and leave until its all dry then peel it off your skin.

My first impression
This face mask is easy to open and put on your face, it is definitely better than the honey one i used in all ways possible! I liked this face mask as just a one off one, i don't think i would use this one again but i think it would be good for different types of the skin but as i have really oily skin i like the clay masks a lot better. It does leave your skin softer but other than that i didn't see any other difference.

Would I recommend
I would recommend this for a different skin type or as just a one off face mask. The smell isn't too bad either.

Thanks for reading guys,

Lets talk about... BREAKUPS

Hi Guys,

So i thought i would talk to you about everything both male and female go through in life, be it once or 100 times! I have had a few break ups them all meaning and ending for different reasons. I'm quite lucky in a way that i can get over people before i break up with them to just ease most of the pain. I like to think not every ones going to be right for you. there's over 64 million people in the UK alone and one of them are going to love me unconditionally. Unfortunately we don't always find that one person. But there is also more important things in life then having a boyfriend/girlfriend.

Ways to know your relationship isn't working:
- You argue over the smallest things alllll the time
- You think about other guys/gals
- You'd choose doing something (not important) then working around it for them
- You cheat or look at other guys/gals all the time
- They lie to you about the smallest things all the time
- They annoy you so much
- You don't feel comfortable & relaxed with them
- Your not bothered about seeing them anymore
- If you saw them walk off with another guy/gal you wouldn't be bothered
- You don't communicate with them anymore
- They make you cry or feel upset all the time
- You don't feel sexually attracted to them any more
- You stop dreaming about your future plans with this person
- Being affectionate towards them makes you feel sick (cuddling etc.)

Sometimes we don't realize that our relationships are over be that, we were supposed to be together forever, your young and its your first relationship, were scared of having a broken heart, or scared of being alone. But the truth is how your feeling now is like a long process of how you'll feel with a broken heart because it is already breaking slowly but surely. And luckily our hearts can be put back together again, you may always have a soft spot for that person but that doesn't mean you still love them it means you once did. If a person cheats in the relationship and acts like there still single that to me is the worst sort of news to happen in a relationship. Jealousy is the worst feeling in the world and trusting someone comes so easily but can go so easily and its always so hard to trust someone again.

I have been in two relationships where they have both cheated and i stayed with them, and it makes you feel so low and bruised inside. You don't feel sexy anymore and you feel like you have to prove yourself and be better then you already are for them. When for a matter of fact its them that are the dirty dogs not you. It can make relationships stronger but for some it can be the worst pain imaginable. Especially if they keep doing it again and again. I say you made your bed, now go lie in it. And just sit back and laugh at them, let him/her gallivant with other people its you that'll come out best not them. They have to live with the guilt of being a cheat and loosing you, you have to live with knowing you don't have that horrible person in your life any more.

Lies. Now this can be different i think for what sex you are (what iv'e witnessed) guys will know when a girl is lying to them and a girl will know the truth before they even know the lie. Were better then any detective when it comes to lies in a relationship because we will find out eventually and they will know when that happens ha ha. I used to test my boyfriends by asking them the simplest questions and seeing if they lie. If they do lie about the small things what are they hiding from you with the big things or anything else in general?

I find the best way to get over a relationship is to get over them while your still in the relationship. Write your feelings down about how they made you feel that day and what they had done wrong. And after a while read them back if you feel they have changed and things have got better and you feel better fair enough. But if it makes you think why did i let someone make me feel that way for so long etc, it can sometimes knock the nail on the head with getting over someone. By realizing they aren't worth the upset! Distract your self, find a hobby, go out with friends more, find better things in life.

Remember: "No person is worth the pain, only the happiness"

If someone doesn't make you happy don't waste your time and love on that person. Because you never know who's round the corner (it could even be Robert Pattison or Kiera Knightly) ha ha ha.

I hope this helped with some of you who are going through break ups or aren't sure if your relationship is working or your just curious. And i hope you all have a happy life,

Creepy doll Makeup Tutorial

Hi Guys,

So as my laptop has broke i can no longer do video tutorials until it is fixed so i will do a written and picture tutorial on how to get this look instead. This is a creepy doll makeup tutorial as i am going as this to a Halloween party this year and needed extra practice.

So what you need..

  • White jumbo eye pencil (i got mine from Dazzle for 99p)
  • Black mascara
  • 2 pairs of false eyelashes, long & short (i got mine from poundland for £1)
  • Black eye pencil
  • Black liquid eyeliner
  • Red lip liner (i got mine from Dazzle for 99p)
  • Red lipstick (oor any other color lipliner & lipstick)
  • Any color eye shadow
  • Eyebrow pencil
What you need to do:

  1. First of all you want to draw two white half circles under your eye up until the cheek bone and then fill that in.
  2. Then you want to draw the white from the upper lash line to the top of the eye brows and fill that in.
  3. On top of the white (above the eyebrow) you want to draw on a 'new' eyebrow. You can make it as thick or thin as you like. (when you are doing this make sure to do your waterline and go over your bottom lashes so they aren't noticeable)
  4. After you have done that you want to take your color eye shadow and go over the white from the upper lash line to your new brow.
  5. Then place your long lashes to your upper lashes.
  6. On the bottom white half circle you want to outline it with black eyeliner and draw some fake lashes on the outside of it half way in then place your short lashes to that line.
  7. That is your eyes done.
  8. Then on your lips you want to start from the cupids bow and go about half or an inch outwards and draw downwards onto your bottom lip and repeat on the other side and that makes the small pout lips.
  9. Then fill them in with your lip liner and a lipstick (on a lipstick brush is easier)
  10. Then you want to take your black eye liner and draw a smile line from each corner of your 'new' lips and take it up half way on your cheek.
  11. When you have done that you want to draw liner going across the 'smile line' to make 'stitch' markings.
  12. And if you want to do your hair in messy pigtails with some ribbon tied round the bobble it will look even more better (like i did in the top photo)
  13. And that is it you are done, thanks for reading guys and i hope this helped you out.

First Impressions: Face Mask No 2

Hi Guys,

So at Asda the other day they had a 4 for £3 deal on for my favorite face masks so i just couldn't ignore, so i got 4 of them and thought i would try them out and let you guys know how i feel about them and if they make any difference etc.

So the second one i picked up is the blemish mud mask, with aloe juice for blemish prone skin (which is what ive got). It has Aloe juice and willow in it and you basically put it all over your face (except lips and eyes) and leave until its all dry then wash it off. In the ingredients it has, purified water, kaolin (natural clay), distilled witch hazel, aloe vera leaf juice, illite (Mediterranean clay), dead sea salt, rosemary leaf oil, green tea leaf extract & evening primrose leaf extract.

My first impression
This face mask is easy to open and put on your face, when I first put it on I noticed a cooling effect which was lovely after a hot bath. It felt like any other clay mask i have put on my skin and didn't sting or anything. The smell wasn't bad that was just as normal as any other clay mask from this brand. When i washed it off my face was squeaky clean and very shiny and soft, which i love after a face mask.

Would I recommend
I would recommend this. I really did like this face mask and i have saved the other half of it to use later on this week because there is enough after my first application. It doesn't make me break out when i have had it on and i don't go extra oily or have dry spots. I don't know what this product would be like on dry skin as iv'e not really had a problem with it. But i can imagine a more liquid mask would be more suitable.

Eyebrow shaping @ home

Hi guys,

So the other week at college we got taught how to do eyebrow shaping by tweezing. Now i had never tweezed my eyebrows before only ever waxed. So it was totally new to me, and i love learning new things and sharing them. So here it goes....

What you need:

  • Sterilized tweezers (soak them in boiling water for a couple of mins)
  • White eyeliner pencil
  • A eye shadow brush or a cuticle stick (something skinny and long ha ha)
  • Eyebrows ha ha
  • If you have sensitive skin then soak cotton pads in the boiling water make them just damp and place over the area for a couple of minutes
  • Witch hazel

What to do:

  • First you want to take your eyebrow/cuticle stick and line up and put dots like i have in the picture below
  • Anywhere outside of the dots (except the middle one obviously) need to be tweezed out
  • Now look at the middle one this is where your arch should be, so you want your eyebrow to be thicker nearer the nose go up into an arch and then taper (get thiner) out
  • So starting from the outside pluck upwards and in making it from thinner to thicker until your happy with the width, remember you can't glue your eyebrows back on so make sure to do it in steps
  • After you have doe the you can go from the arch to the nose area underneath now pluck that area until your happy with that width, remember to make that part thicker so your eyebrows taper out
  • Then just go over your eyebrows with some witch hazel to cool the area

Extra tips:

  • You have to pluck the eyebrow hair in the direction it has grown, like this picture shows:
  • Don't wear makeup for at least 8 hours after as your pores are open and you can cause infection or clog the pores causing spots
  • Get some good tweezers, the better the tweezers the easier and less painful it'll be
  • Do it in front of a window and have a magnifying mirror on hand for the really small faint hairs
P.s i have added in my own little things that i think make the process easier for you guys.

Thanks for reading guys,

Eyebrow & Eyelash tinting @ home

Hi guys,

So at college I passed my eyebrow shaping and tinting exam and I thought what better way to then start practicing on people from home. So I went onto ebay.co.uk and found a brow and lash tinting kit. I thought it was better to get all the stuff then get the single things and if your like me miss things out. So I got the julienne brow and lash tinting kit and it was about £17. So if you would like to know how to do it then read on and I will explain...

What you need:
  • Cotton pads damp and dry ones
  • Cotton buds
  • Spatcula
  • Petroleum Jelly (vaseline)
  • Tissues

Before & After picture:

What you do:

  • 24hrs before the treatment you need to do a patch test where you basically mix the solution together and place on the inside of your arm or behind your ear.
  • When it comes to the treatment you need to check for any contraindications
  • Next figure out what color would be best for you or your client
  • Take any eye makeup off
  • Spread vaseline around the eyelashes but not on them
  • Get a skin guard and coat the underside with vaseline and place under bottom eyelashes
  • Tell client to shut there eyes and keep them shut
  • Mix the solution by a cm of tint and 3-4 drops of peroxide and brush onto eyelashes
  • Split a damp cotton pad and put over clients eyes and leave for 10 mins before wiping fully off
  • While thats developing clean your brush and mixing bowl and place vaseline around the eyebrows where you don't want the tint to go
  • Mix the tint and apply it to the brow coating it fully
  • Leave for about 2 minutes then wipe off

Remember to be careful and always do a patch test.

First impression: Face Mask No1

Hi Guys,

So at Asda the other day they had a 4 for £3 deal on for my favorite face masks so i just couldn't ignore, so i got 4 of them and thought i would try them out and let you guys know how i feel about them and if they make any difference etc.

So the first one i picked up is the manuka honey peel off mask, which is "famous" for anti-bacterial cleansing. It has manuka honey and jasmine in it and you basically put it all over your face (except lips and eyes) and leave until its all dry then peel it off your skin. In the ingredients it has, purified water, caramel, honey, aloe vera, sorbitol, hursechestnut, chamomile, vanilla & jasmine.

My first impression
This face mask is easy to open and put on your face, when I first put it on I noticed the scent which im not keen on but then im not keen on the honey smell anyway so that makes sense. It also stung my face for the first 5 minutes and still did whilst on the face for the remaining time.

Would I recommend
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. When it was time to peel the mask off I couldn't do it properly and it hurt so bad that I had to just wash it off that took agers. I also notice no difference in the softness in my skin etc. But like always it may work better for other people this is just my opinion and I will still carry on using these face masks just not this one ha ha

Copper Smokey Eye

Hi guys,

So yesterday i filmed this makeup look for you, its a copper smokey eye and i think it looks great on blue eyes! My eyes just pop when i put these sort of colors on and i love it because sometimes some colors can make your eyes look really small and dark. So i didn't have the exact copper red that i wanted to do but i compromised with mixing two colors together and i still liked the color so its all good. Also i think this makeup look is really nice for the autumn time as they are really warm colors.

What i used:

The finished look:
I think this look would look better with matching brows ha ha, thick lashes and a black shadow placed over the black eyeliner :) just some extra tips for you there.

NOTD: Nail of the day

Sometimes i like to just have plain nails with sparkles on them. I love this nail polish and its only a bargain from Primark, i got it in a set for last Christmas. I wear nails like this when i know ill be wearing a lot of different outfits that won't match with one other certain color. And i think it makes your nails look clean and healthy without being boring. Plus it seems to last me the longest ha ha. The down side is i could only wear this for one day as my college course means i cannot wear nail polish. Damm!!

Sorry this is a quite short blog post guys, i hope your having a fun day and i will speak to you tomorrow.
